Here’s a handy cheat sheet to all those annoying nonsensical things people say when they realize they’ve lost an argument:

1. “You have a reason for everything.”
“I am going to make your use of logic & facts appear stupid by employing righteous indignation.”
2. “I don’t want to get in a pissing match with you.”
“I don’t have a leg to stand on so I will hide behind righteous indignation.”
3. “I’ve made a point to have less drama in my life.”
“I’m totally selfish and find belittling your feelings to be the best way to make myself feel better about it.”
4. “I was made to feel like I had no choice!”
“I cannot take responsibility for my own actions.”
5. “You want to have your cake and eat it too.”
“I am trying to confuse you with metaphors that no one understands because logic escapes me.”
6. “I can’t have this argument with you right now because you’re using logic and that’s not fair.”
Someone actually said this to me. It was too good not to share.
