Quite some time ago, I’d planned on writing a series about mediation, but never followed through. I’m thinking about doing that again this year, but I’m not sure what direction I want to take those posts.
For those of you who don’t know, I’m a certified Kundalini Yoga teacher and I’ve been practicing since 1998 and teaching since 2000. Meditation and yoga are an integral part of my life. There have been periods when I’ve fallen out of my personal practice. Those times of my life are always my most anxious. I have a hard time compartmentalizing and coping when yoga is not a regular part of my day.
I want more people to understand that yoga and meditation don’t have to be difficult and that anyone can incorporate these practices into their lives. In fact, once you get the hang of it, meditation isn’t something you incorporate into your life, it becomes your life. It’s a seamless part of your day, just like breathing or eating.
